Soy Cutlets Vegetarian Style
Ingredients
1 1/2 C. chick peas (garbonzo beans)
1 C. water
1/4 C. pecan meal (or other nut, chopped fine)
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 C. rolled oats
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. celery salt (or 1 stalk celery)
1/4 tsp. onion and garlic powder
HOMEMADE KETCHUP:
2 C. tomato paste
1/4 C. honey
2 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 C. oil (optional)
1/4 C. lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Cooking Instructions
Blend beans and water until smooth. Add nutmeal, soy sauce, oats, onion, celery salt and onion and garlic powder. Mix all together very well. Let set 10 minutes to absorb moisture. Drop by tablespoons on lightly oiled skillet. Brown lightly on both sides. Serve with homemade ketchup.
