Savory Hash
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 C. celery, finely chopped
1/2 C. onion, finely chopped
1/4 C. green pepper, finely chopped
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. pepper
2 C. tomatoes, fresh or canned
1/2 C. rice, cooked
Cooking Instructions
Combine ground beef, celery, onion, and green pepper in nonstick skillet. Cook until meat is browned. Drain excess fat. Add salt, chili powder, pepper, tomatoes, and rice. Cover and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes, adding water occasionally to keep meat from sticking to skillet.
