Pork In Cream
Ingredients
1/4 C. chopped onion to 1/2 C.
3 garlic cloves minced or 3/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 tart green apples peeled, cored, and sliced
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. sage
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. freshly ground white pepper
2 pounds boneless pork loin to 2 1/2 pounds trimmed, and cut into 1 inch cubes
1/4 C. all purpose flour
1/2 C. white cooking wine
1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 C. whipping cream
Salt to taste
Cooking Instructions
In crock pot combine onion, garlic, apples, sugar, sage, pepper. Coat pork with flour and put on top of mixture. Pour in wine. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours or on high 4 to 5 hours. Mix cornstarch and whipping cream into small bowl. Pour into pork mixture about 15 minutes before you want to serve. If crock pot is on low, turn to high.
