Oven Broiled Barbecued Dove
Ingredients
3/4 C. vinegar
1/4 C. water
1 Tbsp. salt
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
6 Tbsp. ketchup
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 C. water
8 dove or quail
Cooking Instructions
Combine all ingredients, but birds; bring to a boil. Better if made the day before and refrigerated. Put the birds in a baking dish, breast down. Pour sauce over them and broil 6-8 inches from heat in oven 25 minutes. Turn breast up; broil 25 more minutes, basting frequently with sauce. Yield: 4 servings.
