One Dish Oven Stew
Ingredients
3/4 pound boneless beef round steak, trimmed and cubed
1 Tbsp. cooking oil
4 medium potatoes, unpeeled, cut into l-inch cubes
5 medium carrots, cut into l-1/2 inch chunks
1 celery rib, cut into 1-inch chunks
1 large onion, cut into l-inch chunks
14-1/2 oz. chunky stewed tomatoes
3 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
1 tsp. browning sauce
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. pepper
1 C. frozen peas
Cooking Instructions
In a Dutch oven, brown the steak in oil. Add the next 8 ingredients. Cover and bake at 300 degrees F. for 4 to 5 hours, stirring twice. Add the peas during the last minutes of baking.
