Old World Pumpernickel Bread
Ingredients
1 Tbsp. miller’s bran
3/4 C. potato water, cooled
2 C. whole wheat flour
1/3 C. rye flour
1 Tbsp. cornmeal
1/4 C. plain mashed potatoes room temperature
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 tsp. molasses
1 tsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. caraway seeds
2 tsp. red star active dry yeast
Cooking Instructions
Place all the ingredients in the bread pan, insert it into the machine and press start. Process on the basic bread cycle according to the manufacturer’s directions.
