Oatmeal Raisin Bread
Ingredients
2 1/2 tsp. yeast
1 C. oatmeal
2 C. bread flour
1 C. whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp. gluten
2 Tbsp. honey
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. oil or applesauce
1 1/4 C. warm water
1/2 C. raisins
1/4 C. chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp. cinnamon
Cooking Instructions
You can add the raisins and nuts at the beginning of the cycle or at the “beeps” You may need to add more water. If the machine seems to strain to knead the dough, add a little more water. Use the sweet bread cycle, as the sugar and raisins make the crust brown quickly.
