Lamb Shanks, Sausages And Beans
Ingredients
2 onions chopped
3 Tbsp. butter
1 pound small white beans soaked overnight,
and drained
3 lamb shanks
4 carrots sliced
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 bay leaf
4 garlic sausages sliced 1/2 inch thick
Cooking Instructions
Place beans in bottom of crock pot and add remaining ingredients except sausages, with 1 1/2 quarts water. Cover and cook on high 2 hours, then on low 10 to 12 hours. Add sausages, cover and cook on high 30 minutes.
