Ingredients

2 packages of large gum drops (no black ones)
1 package of blonde raisins
1 C. of pecans, cut up and browned in butter
2 C. sugar
1 C. shortening
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 C. applesauce
4 C. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 Tbsp. cloves
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda in 2 Tbsp. of hot water

Cooking Instructions

Mix together everything but fruit, nuts and gumdrops. Add them last. Pour into loaf pans until 1/2 full. Bake in oven at 300 degrees for 2 hours. Let cool. Slice and serve.
