Deer Burger Jambalaya
Ingredients
2 slices bacon (chopped)
1 onion (chopped)
1/3 C. chopped green pepper
1 lb. deer burger
1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes
1 can diced Ro-Tel
1 tsp. salt
1 C. white rice (reg.-uncooked)
Cooking Instructions
In Dutch oven cook bacon until done, remove and reserve. Cook onion and green pepper in bacon grease until onions soften. Add deer burger and cook over medium heat until done. Drain tomatoes and Ro-Tel, reserve liquid, adding water to make 2 cups. Stir tomatoes, Ro-Tel, liquid, salt, rice and reserved bacon into burger mixture. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer, cover and cook 20 minutes or until rice is done.
