Creamed Celery
Ingredients
1 qt. celery, finely cut
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 C. sugar
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. flour
milk
2 Tbsp. salad dressing or mayonnaise
Cooking Instructions
Combine first four ingredients in a saucepan. Cook until tender, adding a little water if necessary. (Be careful to add no more water than needed to keep from burning.) Make a white sauce with the flour and milk. Add to the celery. Bring to a boil, then stir in salad dressing. Remove from heat and serve.
