Chinese Braised Chicken
Ingredients
1 C. Chopped onion
3 pound Chicken, skinned, fat removed
1 C. Water
1/2 C. Low sodium soy sauce
2 Tbsp. Chopped fresh ginger
2 Tbsp. Sugar (or sugar substitute)
1 clove Garlic, chopped
Cooking Instructions
Place 1/2 C. chopped onion in bottom of crock pot liner. Add chicken. Be sure to remove ALL visible. Combine water, soy sauce, chopped ginger, sugar (or sugar substitute), and garlic. Pour over all. Add the other 1/2 C. of chopped onion. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
