Caramel Apple Cake With Granola Streusel
Ingredients
1 box (18.5 ounces) caramel-flavored cake mix
1 C. granola
3 large eggs
3/4 C. sour cream
1/4 C. vegetable oil
1/4 C. water
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 large, tart apples, cored, finely chopped
1 C. chopped, toasted pecans
1 C. granola
1/2 C. packed brown sugar
1/4 C. (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/4 C. chopped toasted pecans
Cooking Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13- by 9-inch baking pan. For cake, combine cake mix, granola, eggs, sour cream, oil, water and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Mix with an electric mixer until well-combined, 2 minutes. Fold in apples and nuts. Pour into prepared pan. Mix topping ingredients in a small bowl; sprinkle over batter. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 45 to 50 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
