Butternut Cake 2
Ingredients
2 sticks butter
1 tsp. baking soda
2 C. sugar
3 tsp. butternut flavoring
8 ounces cream cheese
1 box powdered sugar
1 C. chopped nuts
3 C. sifted flour
3 eggs
1 C. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
2 tsp. butternut flavoring
Cooking Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Grease and flour three 9-inch cake pans of butter. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix soda and salt into buttermilk until foamy. Add alternately with flour. Add 3 tsp. flavoring. Pour into prepared pans and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Add nuts. Spread on cooled cake.
