Breakfast Souffle 2
Ingredients
12 slices of bread
2 lbs. sausage
1/2 to 1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
4 eggs, beaten
3 C. milk
Cooking Instructions
Trim crust from bread slices and spread with soft butter. Brown sausage and add cheese. Place 6 slices buttered bread in bottom of 3 quart casserole dish; spread with half of sausage-cheese mixture. Combine eggs and milk; pour half over sausage and cheese. Repeat layers: Bread, sausage-cheese, egg-milk. Press down with spoon so milk comes to top of dish. Chill in refrigerator overnight. Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 375 degrees. Serves 10.
