Ingredients

1 1/2 C. shortening
1/2 C. water or whipping cream (more if needed)
1/2 tsp. salt
2 pounds confectioners sugar
2 tsp. flavoring (orange, vanilla, almond, cream bouquet, rum or lemon)
1 tsp. butter flavoring

Cooking Instructions

Beat shortening at high speed for 5 minutes. On low speed, add water or whipped cream and salt. Slowly add sugar and flavorings. Beat on high until light and fluffy. Adjust liquid or flavorings if necessary.
