Beef Stew 2
Ingredients
2 pounds stew beef pieces
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 pound small white onions or use canned/jarred onions
1 pound potatoes peeled, quartered
5 celery ribs cut 1 inch pieces
6 carrots chunked or equivalent in baby carrots
1 large can tomatoes liquid reserved
5 Tbsp. tapioca
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 bay leaf
2 tsp. kitchen bouquet
Cooking Instructions
Season meat with salt and pepper. Place in crock pot. Add vegetables. Mix tapioca, sugar, tomato liquid, and kitchen bouquet. Pour over stew. Mix a little bit. Add bay leaf. Cook on Low 10 to 12 hours or on high 5 to 6 hours.
