Barbequed Ribs
Ingredients
3-5 lbs. pork, beef or deer ribs, cut into serving pieces
4 C. water
1 C. liquid from cooking ribs or water
1 C. catsup
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. chopped onion or dried onion flakes
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 C. sugar
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
Cooking Instructions
Cook ribs in 4 cups water 2 to 3 hours or until tender. (Save liquid for barbeque sauce.) Mix all ingredients for barbeque sauce in large saucepan and simmer for 1 hour. (Ribs and barbeque sauce can be prepared ahead and frozen, separately.) Place ribs in 9″x13″ pan, meaty side up. Pour barbeque sauce over ribs. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees, basting every 15 to 20 minutes.
