Ingredients

1/4 C. vegetable oil
1/4 C. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C. unsweetened applesauce
1/2 C. whole wheat flour
1/2 C. unbleached flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/2 C. rolled oats
1/2 C. raisins, dark or golden

Cooking Instructions

Cream the oil and sugar together. Add the egg and beat until light. Blend the vanilla and applesauce. Stir the flours, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, oats, and raisins into the creamed mixture. Blend well. Drop by tsp.ful onto lightly oiled baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
