Apple Syrup Baked Ham
Ingredients
8 pound. ham (1/2 baked ham ready to serve)
1/2 C. whole cloves
1/2 C. light brown sugar
1/2 C. apple syrup (if this is not available, use 1 can frozen concentrated orange juice)
Cooking Instructions
Place half ham on a rack in a covered roasting pan. Bake about an hour and a half at 325 degrees. Uncover and drain fat from pan. Remove skin of ham. Score the fat into little diamond shapes. Insert 1 whole clove in each diamond. Cover top of ham with light brown sugar. Pour the apple syrup or orange juice carefully over the top. Turn oven up to hot, 400 degrees. Place ham in the oven long enough to brown topping.
