Bigos
Ingredients
1 garlic clove minced
2 Tbsp. butter
1 pound cabbage
1 quart sauerkraut rinsed, drained
1/2 pound mushrooms sliced
1 pound boneless pork butt cut in 1 inch cubes
1 pound boneless veal cut in 1 inch cubes
1/2 pound Polish sausage sliced 1/2 inch thick
1/2 C. beef stock
1 C. chopped tomatoes
2 tart apples diced
1/2 C. pitted prunes
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly-ground black pepper
1/2 C. red wine
Cooking Instructions
Combine all ingredients in crock pot and cook on low 8 to 10 hours.
