Best Rum Cake Ever
Ingredients
1 quart rum
1 C. butter
1 tsp. sugar
2 large eggs
1 C. dried fruit
Baking powder
1 tsp. soda
Lemon juice
Brown sugar
Nuts
Cooking Instructions
Select a large mixing bowl, measuring cup, etc. Check the Rum again. It must be just right. To be sure Rum is of the highest quality pour 1 level C. of Rum into a glass and drink as fast as you can. Repeat. With an electric mixer, beat 1 C. butter in a large fluffy bowl, and 1 tsp. of sugar and beat again. Meanwhile, make sure the Rum is of the finest quality. Try another C. Open second quart if necessary. Add 2 large eggs, 2 C. fried fruit and beat till high. If fruit gets stuck in beaters, just pry it loose with a screwdriver. Sample the Rum again, Rum a gain, checking for tenacity. Next, sift 3 C. pepper or salt. Sample Rum again. Sift 1/2 pint lemon juice, fold in chopped butter and strained nuts. Add 1 Tbls. of brown sugar or whatever color you can find. Mix well. Grease oven and turn cake pan to 350 degrees. Now pour the whole mess into cover and bake.
