Bean Dip
Ingredients
2 C. hot water
3 C. beer
1 pound pinto beans soaked overnight
1 Tbsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. cumin
1 Tbsp. seasoning salt
11 1/4 oz. taco seasoning mix
1/2 C. chopped onions
2 hot peppers to 3 chopped
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 pound Cheddar cheese shredded
Cooking Instructions
Place water and beer in crock pot. Stir in beans, black pepper, garlic powder, cumin and seasoning salt. Cook on high 5 to 7 hours or until beans are soft enough to mash. Mash bean mixture and add taco seasoning, onions, hot peppers, lemon juice and cheddar cheese. Stir until all ingredients are well blended. Chill before serving.
