Basque Shepherds Bread
Ingredients
Small Loaf:
3/4 C. water
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 3/4 C. unbleached all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. dried sage
1 tsp. to 2 tsp. salt to taste
1 1/2 tsp. active dry yeast
Large Loaf:
1 1/4 C. water
2 Tbsp. olive oil
3 C. unbleached all-purpose flour
4 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. dried sage
1 tsp. to 2 tsp. salt to taste
2 tsp. active dry yeast
Cooking Instructions
Load machine according to manufacturer’s directions and bake on machine’s quick bread cycle.
