Barbecue Baked Beans
Ingredients
3 tsp. canola oil
2 can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
3 medium onions, 2 chopped, 1 sliced
2 large green bell peppers, diced
4 each garlic cloves, minced
3 Tbsp. prepared mustard
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
8 ounce tomato sauce
1/4 C. chili sauce
1/2 C. cider vinegar
1/4 C. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. hot sauce
2 C. vegetable broth
Cooking Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat 2 tsp. of oil in skillet. Sauté chopped onion, garlic and green peppers until onions are lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Add all the other ingredients except sliced onions. Pour mixture into lightly oiled roasting pan using the remaining 1 tsp. of oil. Arrange sliced onions on top. Bake for 1 hour uncovered.
