Apricot Almond Bread
Ingredients
1 1/3 C. water
3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
3 Tbsp. honey
1 egg
2/3 tsp. salt
2/3 tsp. grated lemon peel
1 C. whole wheat flour
1 C. rolled oats
2 C. bread flour
2 tsp. yeast
add at appropriate time:
1/2 C. diced dried apricots
1/2 C. raisins
1/4 C. chopped almonds
Cooking Instructions
Use dough cycle on machine, then divide in three. Make braid and join ends to form circle. Let rise for 45-60 minutes Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes. Cool slightly and mix 1/2 C. icing sugar with a little water to make a glaze, then drizzle over top. Makes large 1 1/2 pound loaf. Great plain, with butter or toasted.
