Anissabo (Pea Soup Cree Style)
Ingredients
2 C. dried peas, soaked
20 ounce hominy
1 C. celery leaves or
2 pinch thyme
salt
pepper
savory
16 C. water
Cooking Instructions
When the soaking peas are soft, put them in a large pot with the rest of the ingredients. Simmer until the peas are tender but still firm. Add the hominy and cook till thickened. Serve hot.
