Chocolate Doughnuts
Ingredients
1 1/2 sq. chocolate
1 tsp. oil
2 eggs
1 1/4 C. sugar
1 C. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
Cooking Instructions
Melt chocolate over hot water. Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Mix all ingredients together. Then mix in enough flour to make it consistency of a cake. Let stand 2 hours. Then add 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder and flour enough to handle. I add a little less than enough and refrigerate for a day or two. I find I can handle better with less flour if I keep them refrigerated.
