German Baked Noodles And Applesauce
Ingredients
8 oz. wide egg noodles
2 eggs
1/2 C. light cream or milk
1/4 C. butter
1 C. seedless raisins or currants
2 (1 lb.) cans applesauce
1/2 C. sugar
1 tsp. lemon rind, grated
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
fine dry bread crumbs
Cooking Instructions
Cook noodles until tender and drain. Mix together eggs, cream, butter and raisins. Then add to noodles and mix. Mix in another bowl, applesauce, sugar, lemon rind and cinnamon. Arrange the noodles and applesauce mixture in layers ending with applesauce. Dot with butter and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Use 1 1/2 to 2 qt. round glass dish. Bake at 375ΓΖΓ’β¬Ε‘ΓβΓΒΊ for 30 to 40 minutes
