Chicken With Figs And Lemon
Ingredients
1 can chicken broth-14 1/2 oz.
2 packages chicken Dijon recipe mix 1.7 oz. each, such as Knorr
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
6 garlic cloves minced
Grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
2 to 3 Tbsp. juice
1 onion quartered, and
thinly sliced
8 oz. dried mission figs halved
2 pounds skinless boneless chicken breasts and thighs
Cooking Instructions
In a 4 quart crock pot, mix together the chicken broth, recipe mix, cinnamon, garlic and zest and juice of the lemon. Stir in the onion and figs. Push the chicken pieces down into the mixture in the pot. Cover and cook on the low heat setting about 6 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and tender but still moist.
