Ingredients

1/2 C. butter
2 C. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 C. figs
1 1/2 C. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 C. water
1 C. raisins
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. each mace, cloves, cinnamon
1 Tbsp. honey
1/2 C. almonds

Cooking Instructions

Blend butter, sugar, spices, and salt. Beat egg yolks and add. Sift in baking powder and flour, then add the water and honey. Put fruit and nuts through food chopper and flour well. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake for 1 hour in 375 degree oven.
