Dutch Apple Cake 2
Ingredients
4 medium apples; cored, peeled, sliced
1 1/4 C. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 C. butter
1 yolk
2 Tbsp. milk
Topping
3/4 C. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Cooking Instructions
Mix dry ingredients; cut in cold butter. Add milk to egg yolk and beat slightly. Add to dry mixture. Grease a coffee cake tin or a 9 inch square cake tin and spread batter evenly. Cover the cake batter with sliced apples. Spread the topping over the apples and bake at 375 degrees for about 30-35 minutes. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream.
