White Layer Cake
Ingredients
1 C. shortening
2 C. sugar
3 C. flour (sifted)
2 tsp. lemon extract
2 tsp. baking powder
1 C. milk
8 egg whites (unbeaten)
Cooking Instructions
Cream shortening and sugar. Sift flour and baking powder. Add flour and milk alternately. Add egg whites one at a time and beat 2 minutes after each addition. Add flavoring. Bake in layers or a tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees.
