Two Egg Cake
Ingredients
1/2 C. shortening
1 1/2 C. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 C. sifted cake flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 C. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
Cooking Instructions
Stir shortening to soften. Gradually add sugar and cream thoroughly for 10 minutes with your mixer set on high speed. Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Sift flour with baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating after each addition. Bake in 2 paper lined 9×1 1/2 inch round pans in a 375 degree oven for 20 minutes.
