Quick Oven Sauerbraten
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs. round steak or bottom round, cubed
2 cubes beef bouillon and 2 C. hot water
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 bay leaf
Cooking Instructions
Brown meat in 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine. Add onions and continue browning. Remove from burner. Add rest of ingredients. Place in covered casserole in 350ΒΊ oven for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven, take out bay leaf. Thicken gravy, serve over noodles.
