Pork Slosh
Ingredients
1 pound. lean pork
1/2 ounce. butter
1 medium onion, chopped
4 ounce. mushrooms, sliced
salt and pepper
1/4 pint double cream
“Slosh” white wine (about 6 Tbls.)
Cooking Instructions
Cut pork into small cubes. Heat butter in a thick casserole and gently fry onion until transparent. Add sliced mushrooms and fry 1 minute. Add pork cubes and sauté until lightly browned. Season. Add cream and cook quickly until cream thickens. Add a good “Slosh” of wine. Reduce heat and cook gently for about 20 minutes or until pork is tender. Serve with new potatoes and green beans or baked potatoes.
