Fish Chowder 10
Ingredients
2-3 slices bacon or salt pork
1 lb. white fish, cubed
1 C. water
3 med. potatoes, cubed
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 can evaporated milk
2 C. milk
1/4 C. flour
1 med. onion, chopped
Cooking Instructions
Cut bacon or salt pork into 1″ pieces and fry until crisp. Add onions and potatoes. Stir well; add water and simmer for 10 minutes. Add fish, evaporated milk and 1 cup milk. Simmer until potatoes are cooked. Stir carefully. Blend flour and 1 cup milk together. Gradually add to soup mixture to thicken. Simmer and add salt and pepper. Stir occasionally until done. Serve with hot biscuits.
