Deer Hunters Pie
Ingredients
1 lb. deer hamburger
4 lg. boiled potatoes
2 lg. onions
3 lg. apples, baking
1 C. beef stock
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 C. bread crumbs
Cooking Instructions
Saute the deer hamburger in a skillet until it is lightly browned and completely separated. Arrange a layer of potatoes over the bottom of a 1 1/2 quart greased casserole, follow with a layer of meat and so on. Repeat until all used up. Heat the beef stock, add the nutmeg, pepper, and salt. Pour over top. Sprinkle the bread crumbs over top, and add little dabs of butter if you like. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
