Cheesy Sausage Brunch Special
Ingredients
12 ounce bread; white or egg, sliced
2 1/2 pound pork sausage; bulk
1/2 ounce green onions, sliced
1 1/2 C. chef-mate sharp cheddar cheese sauce; heated
10 eggs
3 C. milk
1 tsp. dry mustard
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
Cooking Instructions
Remove crusts from bread. Cut into cubes. Cover bottom of greased 12 x 10 x 2 1/2 inch steam table pan with bread cubes. Brown and crumbled sausage. Drain thoroughly. Layer sausage and green onions over bread cubes. Pour cheese sauce over green onions. Beat eggs. Add milk and seasonings. Pour over mixture in pan. Cover and refrigerate 12 hours or overnight. Bake in preheated 350 oven 1 hour 15 minutes or until set. Cut into 3 inch squares. Serve.
