Boston Baked Beans With Peas
Ingredients
1 pound Dried peas
2 medium Onions, chopped
1/2 C. Brown sugar
1/4 C. Molasses
1/3 C. Catsup
1/4 pound Salt pork or bacon, diced
1 Tbsp. Salt
1 1/2 tsp. Dry mustard
1/4 tsp. Pepper
Cooking Instructions
Simmer beans in 6 C. water for 30 minutes. Allow to stand covered for 1 1/2 hours or until softened. Drain. Put all ingredients into crock pot. Add 1 C. water, stir to blend. Cover pot and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours or on high for 5 to 6 hours, stirring occasionally.
