Blueberry Mango Pie
Ingredients
1 1/2 C. blueberries
2/3 C. whole, pitted, soft dates
1 tsp. Chinese 5 spice powder
3 large ripe mangoes
1 each almond pecan pie crust, see recipe
Cooking Instructions
Combine first 5 ingredients and mix well. Line 9-inch pie plate with pastry. Fill. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Dot with 1 Tbls. butter Adjust top crust, cutting slits for escape of steam. Seal. Brush with milk, and sprinkle a couple of pinches of sugar onto top of crust. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve warm, if desired.
