Hamburger Cobbler
Ingredients
1 small onion sliced
1 clove garlic
1 lb. hamburger
1/4 tsp. marjoram
salt and pepper to taste
1 C. shredded Colby or cheddar cheese
1 1/2 C. tomatoes (stewed, crushed, etc.)
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 Tbsp. (or so) catsup
Cobbler:
2 1/2 C. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 C. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 C. shortening
Cooking Instructions
Brown together first five ingredients. Pour into 9 x 9″ baking dish. Top with cheese. Mix together last 3 ingredients and pour over cheese. For cobbler mix together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add milk and mix well. Drop on top of the hamburger mixture in pan and bake at 425º for 25 minutes.
