{"id":11329,"date":"2026-02-15T19:05:32","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T19:05:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T19:05:32","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T19:05:32","slug":"elegant-orange-panhandle-pheasant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/wildgame\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/elegant-orange-panhandle-pheasant\/","title":{"rendered":"Elegant  Orange  Panhandle  Pheasant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>2 pheasant breasts, halved, boned and skin removed (4 pieces, or can be cut into chunks)<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. butter or margarine<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. ground cinnamon<br \/>\n1\/2 C. orange juice<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. orange marmalade<br \/>\n1 chicken bouillon cube<br \/>\n1 Tbsp. orange liqueur (optional)<br \/>\n1\/2 C. white seedless grapes (fresh or canned)<br \/>\n1 (10 1\/2 oz.) can mandarin orange slices, drained<br \/>\n1\/4 C. toasted sliced almonds<br \/>\nHot rice<br \/>\n4 tsp. flour<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Place pheasant in a single layer in a casserole dish.  Prepare the sauce.  Melt butter in saucepan and stir in the flour, cinnamon and bouillon cube until smooth.  Blend in the orange juice and marmalade.  Bring to a boil, stirring until thickened.  Stir in the liqueur.  Spoon sauce over pheasant.  Cover casserole and bake 30 minutes or until meat is tender.  Spoon grapes and orange slides over pheasant.  Bake uncovered 5 minutes longer or until fruit is heated.  Sprinkle with almonds and serve over hot rice.  Makes 4 servings.
