{"id":10767,"date":"2026-02-15T19:02:50","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T19:02:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T19:02:50","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T19:02:50","slug":"fresh-green-chile-soup-with-tumbleweed-greens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/vegetarian\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/fresh-green-chile-soup-with-tumbleweed-greens\/","title":{"rendered":"Fresh Green Chile Soup With Tumbleweed Greens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>12 each green anaheim chiles<br \/>\n2 medium red bell peppers<br \/>\n2 large potatoes, cubed<br \/>\n2 1\/2 tsp. salt<br \/>\n6 C.(s) stock<br \/>\n1 tsp. black pepper<br \/>\n3 each garlic cloves, chopped<br \/>\n1\/4 C.(s) tumbleweed greens, for garnish<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Roast the chiles and peppers by the Open Flame Method. Peel the chiles and peppers,  pull off the stems, remove the seeds and veins, and set aside.  In a medium saucepan, parboil the potatoes in boiling water with 1 tsp. of the salt  until tender.  Puree the green chiles and then the red peppers separately in a food processor until  smooth. Mix the purees together, add the potatoes and stock, and process in 2 C.  batches for another minute, or until smooth. Add the remaining salt, the pepper, and  garlic and process again. Press the puree through a fine sieve.  Heat the puree in a saucepan.
