{"id":10502,"date":"2026-02-15T19:02:47","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T19:02:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T19:02:47","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T19:02:47","slug":"colombo-de-giraumon-spicy-pumpkin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/vegetarian\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/colombo-de-giraumon-spicy-pumpkin\/","title":{"rendered":"Colombo De Giraumon (Spicy Pumpkin)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 onion, finely sliced<br \/>\n1 garlic clove, crushed<br \/>\n2 tsp. curry powder<br \/>\n3 cloves, crushed<br \/>\n1\/2 red chili, finely chopped<br \/>\n1 pound pumpkin, cut in 1 cubes<br \/>\n2 tomatoes, chopped<br \/>\n1 Tbsp. sultanas<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. sugar, optional<br \/>\n1 lemon, juiced<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. oil<br \/>\nsalt and pepper<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>First, heat the oil in a heavy pan and then add the onion. Saute until it is transparent and  then add the garlic and cook that also. Next put in the curry powder, ground cloves, the  chopped tomatoes, sultanas and sugar. Sprinkle the lemon juice over. Cover, and cook  very gently for 30 to 40 minutes or until pumpkin is tender, stirring frequently to ensure  that it does not catch.
