{"id":9732,"date":"2026-02-15T18:59:13","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:59:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:59:13","slug":"wisconsin-fish-chowder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/seafood\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/wisconsin-fish-chowder\/","title":{"rendered":"Wisconsin  Fish  Chowder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>2 to 4 slices bacon, in 1 inch pieces<br \/>\n1 1\/2 C. potatoes, peeled &amp; diced<br \/>\n1\/3 C. onion, diced<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. salt<br \/>\n1\/8 tsp. pepper<br \/>\n1\/2 C. water<br \/>\n1 lb. pike or perch<br \/>\n3 C. milk<br \/>\n1 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Fry the bacon until golden brown.  Add the potatoes, onions, salt, pepper and water.  Cover and cook over moderate heat 5 to 10 minutes.  Add the boned and cut up fish.  Cover and continue cooking until potatoes are done, about 10 to 12 minutes.  Add the milk and heat through.  Add the parsley.
