{"id":9621,"date":"2026-02-15T18:59:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:59:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:59:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:59:12","slug":"shrimp-tarragon-with-pimento-rice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/seafood\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/shrimp-tarragon-with-pimento-rice\/","title":{"rendered":"Shrimp  Tarragon  With  Pimento  Rice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>2 Tbsp. butter<br \/>\n3 Tbsp. flour<br \/>\n1 can cream of celery soup<br \/>\n1\/2 C. chicken stock<br \/>\n1\/4 C. dry vermouth<br \/>\n4 tsp. lemon juice<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. each pepper, salt, and onion<br \/>\n   powder<br \/>\n1 tsp. dried tarragon<br \/>\n1 lg. peeled, deveined raw shrimp<br \/>\n1 C. chopped yellow onions<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. butter<br \/>\n3 C. cooked rice<br \/>\n1\/4 C. diced pimento<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Blend 2 tablespoons butter with the flour until smooth.  Slowly add soup, broth, vermouth, lemon juice, and seasonings.  Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.  Add shrimp and cook 5 to 10 minutes longer.  To make rice, saute onions in 2 tablespoons butter until limp.  Add rice and pimento; cook until thoroughly heated.  Serve the shrimp and sauce over the pimento rice.  Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if you wish.
