{"id":9326,"date":"2026-02-15T18:59:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:59:00","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:59:00","slug":"fruit-and-shrimp-hawaiian","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/seafood\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/fruit-and-shrimp-hawaiian\/","title":{"rendered":"Fruit  And  Shrimp  Hawaiian"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 1\/2 C. dices, cooked, shrimp<br \/>\n     (or use cooked crab or lobster,<br \/>\n     if you prefer)<br \/>\n2 C. cooked shell macaroni<br \/>\n1 1\/3 C. drained pineapple tidbits<br \/>\n1\/2 C. sliced green or red seeded<br \/>\n     grapes<br \/>\n3 Tbsp. butter<br \/>\n3 Tbsp. flour<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tsp. salt<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. ground ginger<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. pepper<br \/>\n1 2\/3 C. (lg. can) undiluted Carnation<br \/>\n     Evaporated milk<br \/>\n1\/3 C. coconut<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Combine shrimp, macaroni, pineapple and grapes.  Melt butter in top of double boiler over hot water.  Combine flour, salt, ginger, and pepper.  Add to melted butter; stir until a smooth paste.  Slowly add Carnation.  Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.  Add sauce to macaroni.  Mix well.  Pour into 1 1\/2 quart casserole.  Top with coconut and bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees) about 25 minutes.  Just in case you are really going Hawaiian, serve chilled papaya garnished with lime wedges.
