{"id":9099,"date":"2026-02-15T18:58:58","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:58:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:58:58","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:58:58","slug":"cape-cod-platter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/seafood\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/cape-cod-platter\/","title":{"rendered":"Cape  Cod  Platter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>2 Tbsp. pickling spice (cloves removed)<br \/>\n3 qts. boiling water<br \/>\n6 lobster tails<br \/>\n1 garlic clove<br \/>\n1\/2 C. butter<br \/>\n12 cooked new potatoes<br \/>\n1\/4 C. shortening<br \/>\n2 cans Stokley&#8217;s finest peas<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Add spice to boiling water.  Add lobster tails.  Boil 20 minutes, drain.  Cool; remove meat from shells.  Mash garlic, saute in 1\/4 cup butter.  Remove garlic, add lobster.  Heat brown potatoes in shortening.  Heat drained peas in remaining 1\/4 cup butter.  Arrange potatoes on plate; surround with peas.  Add lobster.
