{"id":59762,"date":"2026-02-22T22:05:27","date_gmt":"2026-02-22T22:05:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/quick-and-easy-hash"},"modified":"2026-02-22T22:05:27","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T22:05:27","slug":"quick-and-easy-hash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/quick\/blog\/2026\/02\/22\/quick-and-easy-hash\/","title":{"rendered":"Quick  And  Easy  Hash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 lb. lean ground beef or  ground turkey<br \/>\n1 C. chopped onion<br \/>\n1 C. chopped green pepper<br \/>\n1 &#8211; 2 Tbsp. chili powder or season to taste<br \/>\n1 &#8211; 2 tsp. salt<br \/>\n16 oz. can tomatoes, (may use crushed)<br \/>\n1 tsp. black pepper or to taste<br \/>\n1 C. water<br \/>\n3\/4 C. rice<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>In a large heavy pan, brown the meat, stirring continuously to break up any large pieces. Drain off all except 1 Tbsp. of fat. Stir in the onion, pepper and garlic. Cook and stir until the onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and chili powder. Add the tomatoes, water and rice. Bring to a boil. Stir once, then cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
